Julie Ball, is married with two grown children. She was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin (five blocks from Lambeau Field) and moved to San Diego as a teenager. Julie graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies and an emphasis in Urban Ministries. It was at Westmont that she met her husband, Terry, who is currently a principal in the Los Angeles Unified School District. After college Julie moved to Hollywood to help the youth of that city find activities in the local church rather than on the streets. She has also worked at Fuller Seminary and the conference office of the United Methodist Church.

Her first encounter in the field of audiology was with her son as he had numerous ear problems as a child. Later, as she took classes at Cal State Los Angeles to be a Speech Pathologist, she took an audiology class – and the match was made. In this field Julie is able to use her empathetic listening skills coupled with advancing hearing aid technology to help people hear well and stay connected to the world around them. She purchased the Anaheim Hearing Center in 2009 after years of working in a hospital/clinical setting. When not working Julie likes to read, golf, quilt, and dote on her schnoodle (what’s a schnoodle? a poodle and schnauzer mixed breed.) Julie loves to talk and hear other people’s stories – so she needs people to hear well! Julie is led by the Biblical principal to “treat others as you would want to be treated.”
